A specialist trichology clinic is warning that hair loss could be one of the effects of Covid-19.

Nationally there have been reports of women reporting hair thinning and falling out as a result of the virus, says Lisa Gilbey, who runs the NHSC clinic on Kiln Farm.

Experts are not sure whether it is down to stress or the physical effect of being so ill.

Lisa is now offering free advice to NHS workers who contracted Covid-19 and noticed problems with their hair afterwards.

She said the offer applies to nurses, doctors, paramedics and other hidden but important NHS workers.

"If you contracted Covid-19 and are now experiencing losing more hair than usual when shampooing, please email me on [email protected] if you need some advice."
