Milton Keynes police seize dog after reports of concern from public

The dog has been seized by the Thames Valley Police after potential wrongdoing was flagged by the public.

A dog was claimed by the police on Thursday April 22 under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act.

An investigation team acquired a warrant to search the dog owner's address in Brooklands..

The dog was seized and is being cared for in kennels while the investigation is ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police revealed how they became aware of this dog and why the animal was seized, stating: "This followed a number of concerned reports from members of the community around a dog, suspected to be a banned breed, being walked in the local area."

The owner's actions will be investigated further, the police offered further appreciation to the Milton Keynes community, adding: "We would like to thank the community for their support in identifying the dog so that it can be assessed and reassure them that it is being well cared for whilst this is undertaken."

The suspected breed of the dog hasn't been revealed at this time.
