Milton Keynes Council website receives industry praise

Milton Keynes Council's website has been praised at the highest level by the industry '˜gurus' the Society of Information Technology Management.

The site was awarded the maximum four stars, as a result of the council’s focus on improving its website and online services to improve access for all customers.

“A clear, easy to access website is vital for people to access in this modern digital age and we are very pleased to have improved the rating from three to four stars,” said Cllr Mick Legg.

“More and more people are doing business with the council online - and for a number of them it is their first ‘doorway’ to council services.

“It was particularly pleasing that the website was praised for easy use by people with disabilities - a number of whom rely heavily on web-based services.

“Feedback from residents has been key to improving the council website and we welcome ideas and suggestions to enable further improvement.”
