Four more Covid-linked deaths have been recorded at MK hospital over the past 24 hours, along with 72 new infections in the community.

This makes a total of 23 deaths at the hospital since November 1 and, in the past three days alone, 216 new cases.

There have now been 3,140 positive tests in MK since the beginning of the pandemic.

Nationally there have been 501 deaths and 22,915 new cases. In hospitals over the UK there are 12,206 Covid patients in hospital.

Meanwhile MK Council has been offered the change to become a 'mass testing' area, with the army drafter in to help test up to 10 per cent of the population each week - whether of not people are showing symptoms.
