MK Dons 6-0 Norwich City U21s

Lasse Sorensen admitted he wasn't quite sure how to react after scoring his first career goal against Norwich U21s on Tuesday night.

The Dane, who was named the man of the match by sponsors, played a clever one-two with Ste Walker before bending the ball into the top corner of Jon McCracken's net not long into the second half to make it 2-0. And it was a goal which threw open the floodgates as Dons would go on to score four more before the full-time whistle.

His goal though came as a bit of a surprise for Sorensen, who said: "It was my first goal – I don't score often! When it went in, I thought 'What's going on?! What do I do?!'

"I was happy though, you always want to score or assist, and do the best for the team.

"Every game you go out there wanting to do your best. I'm happy to be named man of the match, but everyone did well today. I did well but I think equally there were others out there who played just as well."

He would lay a key role in Dons' third goal of the night, picking out Regan Poole's head as the Welshman extended the home side's lead three minutes later.

"Normally when I take set pieces, I have to deliver. But I can't assist if there's no-one on the end of it, so it takes my ball and it took Regan to get up there, get a head on it and put it away.

"You can never be happy with one or two, you can't take your foot off. You need that mentality.

"Fair play to Norwich, they kept on going, never gave up. It's never nice to lose 6-0, but they put a real shift in so well done to them."
