New boss for Thames Valley Police

The chief constable of Thames Valley Police is retiring today after more than 32 years in the police service.

Francis Habgood first joined the force in 2004, initially as assistant chief constable in 2004. he was subsequently promoted to deputy chief constable in 2008, then chief constable in 2015.

He will be replaced by John Campbell, the force’s current deputy chief constable.
