Firefighters in Milton Keynes rescue two pigeons trapped beneath solar heating panels

Firefighters came to the aid of two pigeons trapped beneath solar panel sheeting on the roof of a house in Milton Keynes.

Concerned residents alerted the fire service which used a short ladder to reach the birds that were stuck in the roofing of a property in Pastern Place, Downs Barn. The incident happened on Tuesday. (25/6)

A spokesperson for Bucks Fire & Recue, said: “The firefighters used small gear and a short extension ladder to release two pigeons which had become trapped beneath solar panel sheeting on the roof of a house.

"One appliance and crew from Broughton attended.

Earlier the same day firefighters released a two-year-old girl who had become locked in a car in Hadrians Drive, Bancroft, Milton Keynes.

The girl was uninjured.

And the following day fire crews were called to reports of flooding at flats in Burney Drive, Eagle Farm South, Milton Keynes. (26/6)
