Man sent to prison over drug offences and dangerous driving in Milton Keynes

Ganiyu Dolapo Ajimobi, 28, of Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone, London, was sentenced to four years and four months in prison at Amersham Crown Court on June 14.

Sadiq Abubakar, 22, of Hunter Street, Buckingham, was sentenced to a year and nine months in prison, suspended for two years, at the same hearing.

Both pleaded guilty to two counts each of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, at the same hearing.

Ajimobi also pleaded guilty to one count each of dangerous driving, using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and breaching a non-molestation order.

Abubakar also pleaded guilty to two counts each of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

On January 11, officers arrested Ajimobi and Abubakar during the execution of a warrant as part of a proactive investigation into drugs supply in Buckingham.

The investigation found Ajimobi was in charge of supplying cocaine and heroin in the Buckingham area, with Abubakar working for him, since August 3 last year.

Ajimobi also drove dangerously in Milton Keynes on September 19 last year. He refused to stop for police before driving on the wrong side of the road and at speed in an attempt to evade officers.

Ajimobi also breached a non-molestation order between 22 November and 1 December last year.

Ajimobi and Abubakar were charged on January 12.

Investigating officers PCs Jake Farrell and Levi Fensom said: “Drug-dealing will never be tolerated by Thames Valley Police so it is pleasing to see Ganiyu Dolapo Ajimobi and Sadiq Abubakar brought to justice for their offences.

“We will continue to disrupt and tackle drug-dealing in Buckingham and the wider force area, but we need the community’s support.

“Anyone with information about illegal drugs supply should report it to us via 101 or our website.

“Ajimobi also led officers on a dangerous pursuit around Milton Keynes and breached a non-molestation order; behaviour which will also not be allowed on our patch and was reflected in his sentence.”
